THE FACIAL OILS SERIES (PART 2)


We have earlier discussed what facial oils are and the different types of facial oils based on where they are derived from.
Now let’s see what facial oils are best for each skin type and what is in them that helps our skin…

SENSITIVE SKIN




  • SEA BUCKTHORN OIL

It contains nourishing, regenerative, and restorative actions good for the skin. It is rich in phytosterol, Vitamin C and E, antioxidants and carotenoid which is good in skin healing due to injuries, burns, lesions and sun damage. It protects skin against harsh weather conditions. However, this is a heavier type of moisturizing oil which is good during winter months or if you have severe red, dry patches on your skin.


  • CHIA SEED OIL

Chia seed oil is naturally good for sensitive skin with rich botanical source of Omega 3 fatty acids good for optimum skin nourishment. This contains high levels of antioxidants such as Alpha Lipoic acid. It has 7x the Vitamin C of an orange.


  • AVOCADO OIL

Like sea buckthorn oil, Avocado oil is a heavier type of oil that is good for treatment of dry, itchy, damaged and sensitive skin.


  • COCONUT OIL

We all know that coconut oil has plenty of good benefits for skin all over the body and the hair and even for the nails. However, you need to be cautious when applying to your face since coconut oil is highly comedogenic.


  • CHAMOMILE OIL

Chamomile oil is known to reduce skin redness & inflammation. Anti-allergenic and this oil is beneficial as it penetrates deep into the layers of your skin where its potent anti-inflammatory action can restore and soothe irritated skin.
